Tradewind has closed a $450,000 credit facility for an exporter of fruits and vegetables based in Peru. The company, whose top products include mangoes, grapes and avocados, markets to buyers in the US and Chile and will use proceeds from the facility to offer more flexible payment conditions to their international customer base and to fill their increasing orders.
Talks of the financing arrangement began when the agro exporter was experiencing difficulty securing sufficient credit lines from their local banks. With a recently opened office location in Lima, Peru, Tradewind came in and provided financing solutions amenable to the client’s needs as well as on-the-ground support from its regional team of experts, granting the client a more streamlined and easier funding process. Tradewind also offers lower rates for buyers in the US, another feature that was favorable to the exporter.
With the added liquidity from Tradewind, the client is able to serve a new and more diverse set of international buyers and support their preferred purchasing conditions, like import on credit.
“We are proud to assist medium-sized Peruvian export companies, like our client, achieve their business goals. With our help, the company can expand and strengthen their capabilities overseas, ultimately allowing them to be more aggressive in foreign markets,” states Fabrizio Vásquez Curotto, Country Manager of Tradewind Peru.
